The State meteorological centre has forecast light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorm at a few places in the mountains of Kumaon region and at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag and Chamoli districts of Garhwal region on Monday. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts. Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear becoming partly cloudy sky towards afternoon/evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 36 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.Meanwhile, various parts of the State experienced light to moderate rain on Sunday. There was 30.9 millimetres rain in Lohaghat, 32 millimetres in Almora, 14 millimetres in Someshwar and 15 millimetres in Jageshwar. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various towns were 35.5 degrees Celsius and 19.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35.3 degrees Celsius and 19.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.5 degrees Celsius and 19.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24.8 degrees Celsius and 12.8 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
