More than 20 lakh registrations done for Char Dham Yatra

Greeting the people on the opening of Badrinath temple, Tourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj has exhorted people undertaking the Char Dham Yatra to also visit other ancient and religious circuits developed by the State government.
He said that the visitors must register to avail fully of all the facilities arranged for pilgrims by the government. He said that considering the number of registrations, it is clear that the number of Char Dham Yatra visitors will be higher this year than the previous year.
Since the start of registration on February 18, more than 20 lakh people have registered for the Char Dham Yatra. These include 7,05,892 who have registered for Kedarnath, 5,97,093 for Badrinath, 3,65,107 for Gangotri and 3,20,930 for Yamunotri. Maharaj further said that the worth of bookings for Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam guest houses has exceeded Rs 10 crore so far.
