More than 250 receive free artificial limbs & aids at Patanjali

More than 250 differently abled persons were provided with artificial limbs, calipers and other aids free of cost at a two-day camp organised jointly by Patanjali Wellness and Uddhaar Jeffries Nagpur. The camp concluded at Patanjali Yogpeeth on Sunday. According to the organisers, considering the success of the camp, it was decided that such camps will be organised at a gap of three to four months.

Patanjali Yogpeeth founder Swami Ramdev and joint general secretary Acharya Balkrishna were present during the camp. They presented necessary equipment to the beneficiaries and encouraged them to pursue a path of self-reliance.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramdev said that the differently abled need empowerment, not sympathy. Balkrishna also interacted with the differently abled at the camp. He said that Patanjali’s aim is not just focusing on Ayurveda for health but also to make every person independent, which is its method of serving the nation.

This camp was organised with the involvement of Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Uddhaar Sewa Samiti, experienced doctors, skilled technicians and workers of Patanjali. In addition to distribution of the equipment, arrangements were also made for measurement of the beneficiaries, fitting, physiotherapy and consultation.In addition to enabling the differently abled to improve their physical condition, the camp also encouraged them towards empowerment.
