Most marked encroachments demolished in anti-encroachment drive

Almost all the encroachments marked by the authorities in Dehradun have been demolished in the anti-encroachment drive. According to the officials, the team will review the situation once again in the city on Saturday and after this final review, the final procedure will be followed. As informed by the municipal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, about
262 encroachments were demolished on the fourth day of the drive carried out by the district administration and Municipal Corporation of Dehradun at Kaulagarh, DL Road, Kanwali Road and Shimla Bypass along with 70 structures in Paltan Bazaar. He said that almost all the marked encroachments have been removed in the last four days. “The teams will inspect the marked areas on Saturday to verify and review whether any places were left during the drive. If there are any encroachments left to remove, we will demolish them on October 18 and 19,” added Pandey.
