Mother’s Day was celebrated on Saturday at some of the city’s reputable schools like All Saints’ College’s pre-primary wing, Acorn School and St John’s School. The children presented gifts to the mothers on this occasion.
At All Saints’ College, children presented Hindi and English poems expressing love, respect and gratitude for their mothers. Handmade greeting cards were also presented to the mothers.
On this occasion, many fun competitions and games were organised for mothers. Mothers participated in musical chairs, balancing games, and other exciting activities.
The school’s principal, Anjana Richards said that a mother is the first teacher in a child’s life and that there is no substitute for their love, sacrifice and values.
