To address the issue of insufficient parking space at the hospital, a multi-level parking facility will soon be constructed at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay District Hospital. Informing this, the medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr V S Chauhan said that the new facility is coming up on the initiative of the district magistrate Savin Bansal. After the administrative clearance came, a team of engineers visited the hospital premises to assess locations for the new multi-level parking to enhance facilities for doctors, staff and patients.
Dr Chauhan said that the engineers had inspected the site and construction for the multi-level parking is expected to commence soon. “The new facility is designed to significantly increase parking capacity. While presently only 10 to 15 vehicles are accommodated at one time the new structure will provide space for 25 to 30 vehicles. Once this comes up it will solve the parking issue within the hospital premises once and for all, he said.
