Municipal commissioners and executive officers to make daily visits for dengue prevention

In view of the risk of vector borne diseases like malaria and dengue during monsoon season, the director of the Urban Development Directorate (UDD) Nitin Singh Bhadauria instructed all the municipal commissioners and executive officers to visit their respective municipal bodies twice a day and send the report to the directorate daily. These daily visits are expected to ensure all works are being done appropriately under the respective municipal body.
Bhadauria said that these instructions were issued as per the orders of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami who is very serious about cleanliness and prevention of diseases like dengue-malaria during the monsoon season. Bhadauria has also issued a letter to all municipal commissioners and executive officers to take effective measures against the spread of dengue and malaria and regularly monitor work being done in their respective areas.
They were also instructed to ensure no water logging on roads during monsoon while ensuring cleanliness and prevention dengue, malaria and other diseases. Bhadauria directed the officials concerned to take all possible measures to minimise the risk of waterlogging and prevent the breeding of dengue mosquitoes.
