The Bharatiya Janata Party national president Nitin Nabin will preside over the meeting of the BJP’s State core group on Wednesday in Delhi. The party’s State general secretary Kundan Parihar informed that chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Prasad Bhatt along with other core group members will be present in the meeting in Delhi.
He averred that recent activities of the party in Uttarakhand and future programmes in the State will be discussed in the meeting. Along with Nabin, the party’s national general secretary BL Santhosh is also expected to be present in the meeting. The party leaders are also expected to discuss the conclusions reached by party office bearers who visited the constituencies where the party lost the previous elections.
At a time when the BJP candidate lost Nabin’s baston- Bankipur in the Assembly bypoll, the core committee meeting assumes significance especially as the public is increasingly questioning the performance of the Dhami government in Uttarakhand.
