In latest news from Uttarakhand, the electoral mercury mounting with the polling day drawing closer, the BJP national president J P Nadda is now in Uttarakhand on a two-day visit. He first addressed a largely attended meeting at Dev Singh ground in Pithoragarh, canvassing votes for the Almora candidate, and from there flew to Dehradun where he addressed another meeting at the Bazar Chowk in Vikasnagar. Thereafter, he chaired a core committee meeting involving Tehri constituency in Dehradun.
On the second day of his visit, he is scheduled to meet members of religious fraternity at the Maya Devi temple in Haridwar Then he will participate in a road show in Haridwar city. Finally, he will meet senior leaders to deliberate on the poll issues in the Gurukul University complex. As per party sources, over 12,000 activists will participate in the poll brainstorm and Nadda is expected to exhort them to achieve victory for the party with a record margin.
