Nagaland student found dead in Premnagar

A 22-year-old student from Nagaland was found dead in his rented room in Manduwala area of Premnagar in Dehrdaun late on Thursday. The Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh said that the police received information about a young man who had allegedly committed suicide late at night after which a team reached the spot. They found out that the deceased name was Kedibamgumheing Liegise, a Nagaland resident, who was a student of BSc Agriculture sixth semester in Dolphin College, Dehradun. He was currently living on rent in the house of Tilak Singh in Manduwala area. Singh said that as observed at the site, the deceased allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a nylon rope on the iron ladder going to the roof. The police found no suicide note from the spot. The police have sent the body for post-mortem. The SSP said that the police are investigating what prompted the deceased to commit suicide. The police have informed the family of the deceased and further action will be taken once they reach here, he added.
