The Nainital district hospital- BD Pandey hospital will soon get a CT-scan facility. Necessary inspections have been conducted and a report has been submitted for this purpose. According to sources, the machine will be installed in the hospital by April 1.
The hospital’s chief medical superintendent Dr KS Dhami informed that patients have to spend more and go outside Nainital city due to the absence of CT-facility in the BD Pandey hospital. This facility will be made available in the hospital soon. He said that installation of the CT-scan machine will cost about Rs 35 lakh. Technicians will be recruited through UPNL and other mediums to operate this machine after which they will be trained for five months. The trained persons will be posted as technicians in the district hospital after which the patients will be able to access the CT-scan facility.
