National Games closing ceremony: All schools to be closed on Feb 14

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Nainital district education department has declared closure of all government and private schools on February 14 in view of the closing ceremony of the ongoing 38th National Games being held in the State. The department cited preparations for the closing ceremony and the consequent traffic curbs and diversions to be enforced. Informing this, a senior education officer Govind Jaiswal said that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Haldwani to attend the closing ceremony, adding that a large number of buses are being taken over in view of the VVIP visit.
Notably, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 38th National Games in Dehradun on January 28 while Haldwani will host the closing ceremony of the national level mega sports event.
