National moot court competition ends at Law College Dehradun

Law College Dehradun National Moot Court Competition concluded on Sunday with former chief justice of India, KG Balakrishnan as the presiding judge during the final round and chief guest in the valedictory session.
Aarav, Lolita and Aniket from the School of Law, Christ University, Bengaluru were declared winners while Kishan, Ashish and Sakshi from the Central University of South Bihar, Patna were declared runners up.
Speaking on the occasion, Balakrishnan opined that legal research, pleading and arguments put forward by the finalists were no less than those presented by advocates. He advised all the colleges and universities including Law College Dehradun to organise mock trial of district level courts.
Additional solicitor general of India, Aishwarya Bhati stated that latest technologies of legal research have brought a paradigm change in the working of legal profession, making it more interesting and challenging.
The organisers informed that the competition was declared open at the national level on March 1. During the two months participants competed at different levels after which 18 teams qualified for the final round.
