A mechanical excavator being used for road cutting work near Bannugad on the Mori-Salra road in Uttarkashi district was buried in debris recently. According to the owner of the machine, Rohit Joshi, the machine was buried in debris on September 20 after a portion of the mountain collapsed. Though there were no casualties in the incident, the machine was fully covered in debris.
