The Nainital Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh (NDUSS) observed the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri at its administrative office in Lalkuan on Monday. Officials informed that the day was marked by flag hoisting and paying floral tributes at the portraits of these two leaders.
Also, patriotic songs were presented and sweets were distributed among the gathering to mark the occasion. The NDUSS general manager Nirbhay Narayan Singh in his address stressed on unity among the people of the country and urged all to carry on with the spirit of cooperation in time to come. This aside, about two dozen employees of NDUSS were felicitated for remaining committed to their works in the wake of the September 25 ammonia gas leakage at the milk plant operated by the union.
