Need to develop new work culture in U’khand- Dhami

Focusing on mantra of ‘simplification, solution & satisfaction’ in governance, says Dhami on completing 100 days in office

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that a new work culture should be developed in the State. Asking the government officers and employees to come to the office on time, CM said that he and his ministers would ensure it by conducting regular inspections. Addressing media persons at his residence on the occasion of completion of 100 days of his second tenure as CM in office on Thursday, Dhami said that his government is focusing on the mantra of ‘simplification, solution and satisfaction’ and has kept Mondays as no meeting days in the state secretariat so that officers are available to meet general public. He added that the district level officers have been directed to meet people from 10 AM to 12  PM on all working days from Monday to Friday.

Dhami said that his government has got the mandate of people of the state to implement Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the government has constituted a committee headed by former justice of Supreme Court Ranjana Prakash Desai which would hold consultation with all stakeholders to prepare a draft of UCC. He said that some people are raising objections to the UCC but for safeguarding the spiritual,  religious and cultural identity of Uttarakhand, UCC is necessary. Dhami said that his government would provide three free gas cylinders to poor families and has increased the old age and widow pensions. Dhami said that we should make Utttarakhand the best State in the country in the field of culture, Yoga and tourism by 2025 and for it a road map is being created. He said that all the departments have been directed to prepare a roadmap for the next ten years. Dhami said that the work on centrally sponsored schemes like all-weather road, Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project and Bharat Mala project are going on at a fast pace. The reconstruction of the Kedarnath is going on as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and work on the Badrinath master plan is in progress. 

He said that 100 days of his government had been dedicated to commitment, dedication and effort. Dhami said that the government is working in the direction of fulfilling the dream of PM Modi that in the year 2025, Uttarakhand should be the leading state of the country. Terming Uttarakhand as the centre of religion and culture Dhami said that the state has tremendous potential for development and the state government would explore ways of using this potential to put the state on the path of development.

Cabinet ministers Dhan Singh Rawat, Ganesh Joshi, additional chief secretary Radha Raturi, special principal secretary Abhinav Kumar, director general of Information Ranvir Singh Chauhan and others were present on the occasion.
