NEP-2020 in all courses at VMS UTU: Onkar Singh

The vice chancellor of Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), professor Onkar Singh has said that the university has introduced the National Education Policy (NEP)- 2020 in all its courses from the academic year 2022-23.

Interacting with the media persons here on Saturday he said that all the syllabi have been upgraded in accordance with the standards of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), The Pharmacy Council of India and the Bar Council of India.

Dwelling on the future activities of the university, the VC said that as part of efforts to introduce B Pharma classes in the university premises from the next academic year 2023-24, the guidelines suggested by the Pharmacy Council of India have been executed. To encourage the students to get involved in sports, cultural activities and constructive technological innovation, the university is organising several competitive sports meets and techno-cultural festivals. Besides, the university has decided to establish a centre of excellence for cyber security, the VC added. 

Under Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), the UTU has introduced the university management system and the process of digitizing all the activities of the university is in progress. Feedback arrangements have been enforced in all the related bodies such as parents’ feedback, employers’ feedback and students’ feedback. All the question papers used in the past have been audited so that things can be made even better in future. Incubation hub and alumni cell have been established in the university.
