New faculty members appointed in Almora & Haridwar medical colleges

The State government has deployed 12 new faculty members in the government medical colleges of Haridwar and Almora. The medical education department has completed the process of appointment of these contractual faculty members.
The department has deployed seven faculty members in the Soban Singh Jeena government Almora and five in Government medical college Haridwar. The department has appointed Professor (Pharmacology) Dr Navpreet Kaur, assistant professor ( Anaesthesia) Dr Shailesh Kumar Lohani, assistant professor ( community medicine) Dr Anshul Mamgain and Dr Poonam Gadkoti and Dr Akshat Rajwar as medical officers in the Almora medical college. Similarly assistant professors Dr Mamta Nautiyal and Dr Ekta Rawat are appointed in the Gynecology and obstetrics department of medical college Almora.
In the government medical college Haridwar appointment is given to Dr Saumya Pandey (pharmacology), Dr Mahim Khan (general surgery), Dr Priyanka Kashyap (anesthesia), Dr Hina Fatima (anatomy) and Dr Kirti Bansal (medical officer).
The health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the State government is committed to fill all the posts in the government medical colleges of the State. He said that the objective of the State government is to provide quality education and better health facilities’ in the medical colleges of the State.
