On assuming charge as the inspector general of police of Kumaon division, Riddhim Agarwal said that he would prioritise reining in cybercrimes, strengthening manual policing and ensuring crime control and women safety. “Maintaining smooth traffic system during tourism and religious tourism seasons will also be a big challenge. We will increase manpower to ensure smooth tourism activities. Besides, a route plan will be prepared for Kainchi Dham and shuttle service will be started so as to control traffic congestion on the routes to the shrine,” Agarwal added.
