With the Met department having issued yellow alert for the hill districts of Uttarakhand, the new Kedarnath Yatra registration has been halted till May 25. However, those pilgrims who had already registered themselves for the yatra till May 25 will have the darshan. It is still snowing intermittently in Kedarnath.
As per information received, 22711 pilgrims have registered themselves for the Kedarnath yatra for May 15. The figures are 24575 for May 16, 22731 for May 17 and 26532 for May 18. Till now, 7.76 lakh pilgrims have reached the char dhams while 28.95 lakh pilgrims have so far registered for char dham yatra. About 49,000 pilgrims are now visiting the char dhams daily.
