14% GST payment instead of 28 %

Maruti Suzuki stated that it made its new generation Swift available at the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) being sold for the soldiers serving the country. Importantly, the soldiers have to pay much less GST on this car at CSD-just 14 per cent instead of 28 per cent. The price of the LXI trim of the new Swift at the showroom is Rs 6, 49,000 while the price of this car at CSD starts from Rs 5, 72,265. In this way, tax of Rs 76,735 is saved on its base variant.
A senior officer of the company said that a completely new interior would be seen in it while its cabin is luxurious with rear AC vents, wireless charger and dual charging ports. “Besides, it will have a rear view camera, so that the driver can park the car easily. It has a 9-inch free-standing infotainment screen and a newly designed dashboard. This screen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with wireless connectivity,” he added.
