Newly elected MLA of Kedarnath Asha Nautiyal takes oath

The newly elected MLA of Kedarnath, Asha Nautiyal took oath in Vidhan Sabha on Saturday. The Assembly speaker Ritu Khanduri administered the oath of secrecy and office to Nautiyal. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, cabinet minister Prem Chand Agarwal, BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt, Rudraprayag MLA Bharat Singh Chaudhary and other leaders were present on the occasion.
Nautiyal has been elected to the Assembly for the third time. She was elected to the Assembly from Kedarnath in the years 2002 and 2007. In the just concluded bypoll, she defeated her Congress party rival Manoj Rawat to enter Vidhan Sabha for third time.
Interacting with the media after the oath taking ceremony, Nautiyal said that she will complete the works initiated by her predecessor in the constituency. She said that she will serve the constituency with dedication.
CM Dhami said that the victory of Asha Nautiyal in the Kedarnath Assembly by-election is the victory of Sanatan Dharma, the policy of development of the BJP government and the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the people of Kedarnath have rejected the politics of regionalism and caste politics of Congress party in the bypoll.
