In latest news, the Amarnath Yatra, the sacred pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave in south Kashimir which was scheduled to start from July 1 has been halted due to the worsening weather. It is learnt that a group of pilgrims on their way to the cave was stopped midway as the weather deteriorated. The officer bearers of the Sri Amarnath Shrine Board informed that the Yatra would not be allowed till the weather improves.
