No harassment of citizens in anti-encroachment drive: CM

Following protests from different quarters against the anti-encroachment drive in the mountainous areas of the State, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that harassment of no citizen will be done in the name of anti-encroachment drive. He however added that action will continue against those involved in land Jihad on the forest land. The CM assured that legal constructions will not be demolished in the drive.

Dhami said that he has given instructions that the district magistrates will ensure that no citizen is harassed by any department in the name of anti- encroachment drive. No demolition will be carried out until it is ensured that the construction is on government land and it is necessary to remove the illegal construction.
