In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the summer heat intensifying, the Nainital district magistrate Vandana directed the district Jal Sansthan officials to not sanction new water connections, an order that will be effective from April 15 to June 20. The order is learnt to have been issued to all the executive engineers of the district Jal Sansthan. The DM also said that the temporary prohibitive order would also apply to new water connection for construction works.
