No significant rain despite red warning, yellow warning issue for three districts

Despite the red, orange and yellow warnings issued regarding the possibility of heavy rain on Tuesday, there was no significant rainfall in the State during the day. For Wednesday, the State meteorological centre has forecast that light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in the State. The centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Chamoli and Bageshwar districts today. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of the State.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. Few spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 32.1 degrees Celsius and 24.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.5 degrees Celsius and 28.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.7 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 26.2 degrees Celsius and 18.3 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
