The Dehradun district administration has restricted the entry of vehicles including two-wheelers in Mussoorie this weekend to prevent crowding as a precautionary measure against Covid-19. As per the orders, only those tourists will be allowed who are registered on the Smart City portal besides those who will have a negative report of RT-PCR test done in the last 72 hours and proof of hotel booking in Mussoorie.
Meanwhile considering the possible accidents due to heavy rain as State meteorological centre has forecast heavy to very heavy rain this week, the district magistrate R Rajesh Kumar has also prohibited tourists to get into the water bodies like rivers, ponds and lakes in the popular tourist spots like Sahastradhara and Robber’s Cave besides Mussoorie on this weekend.
