In latest news from Doon, with a large number of people registering for the annual Char Dham pilgrimage, the State administration has decided to not allow VIP darshan. Under the VIP darshan protocol, the VIPs receive privileges in the forms of entry and special puja in the shrines.
The commissioner, Garhwal division said that no VIP darshan would be allowed for some time after the commencement of the pilgrimage. “Later, we will reconsider the ban, taking into consideration the number of the pilgrims,” he added.
