BJP named nominees. Cong still deliberating

In latest news from Doon, with the Election Commission of India (ECI) having fixed July 10 for the assembly by-elections in two constituencies-Manglaur and Badrinath, the nomination filing process has started. The counting of votes will be held on July 13, as per ECI notification. While BJP has already named Rajendra Singh Bhandari for Badrinath and Kartar Singh Bhadana for Manglaur the principal opposition Congress is yet to name its nominees.
The last date of nomination filing is June 21; the nomination papers will be scrutinised on June 24 and the last date of nomination withdrawal is June 26.
In all, 342 polling booths will be set up for two by-polls-210 for Badrinath and 132 for Manglaur. While there are 2,22,075 voters 2821 are service voters for two by-polls.
