Not tolerate negligence in disaster relief – Dhami

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took stock of the situation in the disaster-affected district Champawat on Saturday. He visited Talwara village where he met the families of those who have died in the disaster and expressed condolences to them. Dhami also prayed for the departed souls and said that the government understands their pain of the affected families and is with them. He said that all possible help would be given to the victims and directed the district administration to complete the process distributing compensation to the disaster affected in the district at the earliest.
After this, the Chief Minister held a meeting with all the district level officers at the Circuit House. During this, he said that there should not be any negligence in relief and rescue operations and said that work should be done expeditiously in rescue and relief operations. He directed that arrangements for basic necessities including ration arrangements should be made in the disaster-affected areas at the earliest. In the meeting Dhami directed the District Magistrate (DM) to conduct a ground survey of the disaster-affected areas for which ADM should be the nodal officer. The DM Vineet Tomar informed about the relief works being undertaken in the district.
