NSIL set to prove a higher education milestone: DU VC

A two-day National Summit of Institutional Leaders (NSIL)-slated to be organised at Doon University by the Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan from March 1 to 2-is set to be a significant event for the exchange of transformational ideas in education policies and initiatives, said the DU’s vice-chancellor, Surekha Dangwal.
The event is being organised under the joint aegis of the State Higher Education department and the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST). The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will inaugurate the summit while the closing ceremony will feature the Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Gurmit Singh as the chief guest.
Dangwal further said that this summit would bring together educationists, scientists and intellectuals from across India to brainstorm on enhancing India-centric education and research. “I am optimistic that the conference will serve as a milestone in the higher education landscape, contributing to the development of a strong and positive society for current and future generations,” she averred.
Notably, similar sessions were hosted by Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan in Indore in 2023 and in Lucknow in 2024.
