The Badri-Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC) informed that the winter Char Dham Yatra launched by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at Ukhimath on December 8 has been gaining momentum and since its launch, about three thousand pilgrims have embarked on the pilgrimage. The CEO, BKTC Vijay Prasad Thapliyal appealed to the people to come on the winter pilgrimage in large numbers and pay obeisance to Lord Kedar and Lord Badrivishal at their winter abodes in Ukhimath and Joshimath. Pilgrims are also visiting the winter abode of Lord Tungnath at Makkumath.
