Inspected Covid Care Centre of Raipur; says the officers are giving wrong information and government money is being wasted

Taking strong exception to the non-operation of the 30 bed ICU in the Covid Care Centre (CCC) of Raipur in Dehradun, the cabinet minister and in -charge of Dehradun district Ganesh Joshi has said that the officials are providing wrong information to the government. The minister made a sudden visit to the Raipur centre on Thursday and looked unsatisfied with the arrangements.  He said that the officers are giving wrong information and government money is being wasted in the centre. The minister said that the officials are unaware about the ICU and oxygen beds in the centre. On a stern note that the whole episode is an issue of negligence and as in charge of Covid-19 he would submit a report to the chief minister. He said that action would be taken against those responsible. The minister claimed that the government is concerned about the health of people but the officers are non concerned.

It is pertinent to mention here that 30 bed HDU was started in the CCC recently which some leaders claimed as ICU beds. However the experts clearly said that ICU cannot start in the CCC as it needs high oxygen supply and other supporting stuff.

The Raipur MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, Dharampur MLA Vinod Chamoli, Rajpur MLA Khajan Das, ADM Vir Singh Budhiyal , Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun Dr Anoop Dimri and others accompanied the minister.
