After suspending registrar Sandeep Kumar of the Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ghurdauri for financial irregularities and other allegations, additional chief Secretary/ vice chairperson of the board of governors Radha Raturi in her recent order appointed professor Yashveer Singh as director in-charge of the institute with immediate effect till further orders or the appointment of a full-time director.
The January 2021 order making the district magistrate the administrator of the institute has also been annulled.
The order also states that mathematics professor BN Kala will be the registrar in-charge of the institute with immediate effect till further orders.
