On-site inspection of sensitive booths by police brass begins

In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the possibility of the announcement of the Lok Sabha poll dates early next month, the Uttarkashi district administration is now gearing up for the upcoming democratic engagement. The Uttarkashi superintendent of police Arpan Yaduvanshi directed the police brass to go all-out to facilitate free and fair election. He underscored the need of physical inspection of sensitive polling booths, verification of arms license holders, maintaining vigilance on suspicious activities and keeping alert eye on social media posts. Meanwhile, the police team from Dharasu led by Inspector-in-charge Dinesh Kumar conducted on-site inspection of 10 sensitive polling booths in the remote rural areas. Further, he exhorted the villagers to register 100 per cent polling.
