One death, 10 new Covid cases in U’khand

Death of one patient due to the Covid-19 was reported by the state health department on Saturday. However two deaths which had occurred in the month of April in Haridwar were also added in the death toll on the day which increased the death tally from the disease to 7411 in the state.The state health department reported 10 new cases and 21 recoveries from the disease on Saturday. The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,44,345 while a total of 3,30,592 patients have recovered from the disease so far. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.01 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Saturday was 0.08 per cent.
The state health department reported five new patients from Nainital, two each from Dehradun and Haridwar and one from Udham Singh Nagar on Saturday. No new cases of Covid-19 were reported from the remaining nine districts on the day.
The state now has 173 active cases of Covid-19. Nainital with 54 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Dehradun has 48 new cases of the disease. Rudraprayag has no active cases of the disease now. In the ongoing vaccination drive 69,246 people were vaccinated in 921 sessions in the state held on Saturday.
