The active case count in the state has now reduced to 1,528

The state health department reported the death of one patient from Covid 19 and detected 243 new cases of the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday. The active case count in the state has now reduced to 1,528 with the recovery of 783 cases on the day.
The department has so far detected 89,989 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 85,362 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 252 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 94.86 per cent on Saturday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.76 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of one patient at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on Saturday.
The health department reported 83 new patients from Dehradun, 54 from Haridwar and 18 from Chamoli district on Saturday.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 1528. Dehradun with 272 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Champawat has 230 and Pauri has 229 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar and Uttarkashi are at the bottom of the table with 14 active cases each. In the ongoing vaccination drive 15,855 people were vaccinated in 970 sessions in the state held on Saturday.
