In another accident that happened in Chamoli district, one was killed and another was seriously injured as the car they were travelling in fell into gorge. It is learnt that the driver of the vehicle lost control, resulting in the accident. On being informed, the SDRF team rushed to the accident spot and helped the injured being brought to hospital. As per information received, two persons were going from Gauchar to Karnaprayag. The car is learnt to have fallen into a 40-meter deep gorge. The SDRF team pulled the car up from the gorge and those trapped inside the car were also brought out. The two persons have been identified as Prem Singh and Vinod, both residents of Chamoli.
