One killed, two injured after boulder falls on jeep near Satpuli

One person died and two others were injured after a large boulder fell on a Max jeep near Satpuli in Pauri district on Sunday. The accident took place about four kilometres ahead of Satpuli. Those in the jeep were travelling from Delhi to Satpuli on a leisure trip.
The deceased has been identified as Shrikant (45), a resident of Keshavpuram, Delhi. Among the injured, Sharanjit (60) is also a resident of Delhi, while Uday (40) is a resident of West Bengal. Police have taken the body of the deceased into custody and initiated further legal proceedings.
According to the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the district control room informed the SDRF post at Satpuli about the incident. Soon after receiving the information, an SDRF team led by sub-inspector Sawar Singh reached the spot with rescue equipment. There were three people travelling in the vehicle. One person died on the spot, while the other two suffered injuries. The SDRF team provided first aid to the injured and shifted them to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
