One more dengue case reported in Dehradun

One new case of dengue was reported in the Dehradun district on Saturday. Stating this, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, stated that on Saturday the total number of hospitalisations related to dengue now stands at one, with the patient being treated at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital.
This latest report increases the total number of ELISA-positive dengue cases to 32, including 18 patients from Dehradun and 14 from other districts or states. In total, there are currently 10 patients hospitalised, with nine admitted to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and one at Graphic Era Hospital. Dr Sharma also said that 154 dengue samples were collected on Saturday, contributing to an overall total of 1597 samples collected to date.
Notably, the Health department has set the rates for dengue tests, which include the following: the Dengue ELISA test for Rs 1,100 at NABL-accredited labs and Rs 1,000 at non-NABL labs. The price for the rapid test (NS1) is Rs 500, while the Dengue rapid test (NS1 + IgG + IgM combo test) costs Rs 800.
