ONGC provides furniture to Maharana Pratap Sports College

The Dehradun district administration with the support of ONGC and Mumkin Hai Development Foundation, provided 330 tables and chairs to Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun on Monday. This would help students get a better and comfortable place to study, said a district administration officer.
Speaking of the matter, the district magistrate, Savin Bansal said that such initiatives are being taken under Project Utkarsh- envisaged as per the vision of the chief minister. Under this project, basic facilities like furniture, clean drinking water, electricity, libraries, outdoor sports facilities, LED screens and laptops are being provided in government schools. He further said that with the help of CSR funds from ONGC and HUDCO, infrastructure of hundreds of government schools have been improved and now no child would have to sit on the floor to study.
On this occasion, the district magistrate also flagged off an ambulance for the State’s first modern government de-addiction centre in Raiwala. The ambulance, provided with the support of ONGC, will be used to take patients to and from AIIMS Rishikesh.
Speaking of his company’s CSR initiative, ONGC’s general manager, Neeraj Sharma said that ONGC is continuously supporting education, health and social welfare through CSR funds. He further informed that in the last nine months, ONGC has provided crores of rupees for development works in Dehradun district.
