Online application for Anganwadi workers & assistants to start on January 2: Arya

The Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD) minister Rekha Arya announced that applications for Anganwadi workers and assistants can be submitted online starting from January 2 and will close on January 31.
She said that mini Anganwadi centres were upgraded in all districts of the State, which resulted in the creation of new posts. She emphasised the necessity to amend the rules for these appointments. The Anganwadi Recruitment Rules were revised in the previous cabinet meeting, paving the way for the hiring process. Subsequently, the department issued government orders on December 18 and 23 for the recruitment, she said
Consequently, submission of online applications for the said vacancies will start from 10 AM on January 2 until 5 PM on January 31. Arya clarified that only women can apply and these vacancies are exclusively in rural areas. Additionally, it is mandatory for applicants to be permanent or native residents of the respective village, she said.
