Online monitoring installation starts in 5 MLD STP Bhagirathi Puram & 1.4 MLD Devprayag

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the monitoring and evaluation specialist, at Namami Gange, Uttarakhand, Rohit Jayara informed that online monitoring systems have been installed in a total of 18 STP plants (above 01 MLD capacity) across Uttarakhand. As per the instructions of National Green Tribunal and Central Pollution Control Board, it is mandatory to install online monitoring system in all STPs.
“In compliance with the above, the Union Jal Shakti Ministry made it mandatory to install online monitoring system in all new STP projects and stressed the need to install the same in old STPs as well. A total of 18 STPs of more than 01 MLD capacity in Uttarakhand were identified under Namami Gange for installing online monitoring system in each. Under this, STPs, established under various schemes of the Centre, State government and other government agencies, have been included,” he said.
He further said that the same system
is being installed at 5 MLD STP Bhagirathi Puram and 1.4 MLD Devprayag operational in Tehri district.
