The state health department reported only 11 new patients of Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Saturday. Death of one patient was reported from the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on the day in the state. The authorities also declared 20 patients cured from the disease on Saturday.
The department has so far detected 91,942 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 88,119 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 272 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.84 per cent on Saturday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.84 per cent on the day. The health department reported four new patients from Dehradun, two each from Haridwar and Nainital and one each from Chamoli, Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Saturday. No new patient was reported from Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 341. Dehradun with 92 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 48 active cases each of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with no active case of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 3682 people were vaccinated in 385 sessions in the state held on Saturday.
