Only 18 new Covid-19 cases in U’khand

The state health department reported only 18 new patients of Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Thursday. No death from the infection was reported by the department in the state on the day. The authorities also declared 10 patients cured from the disease on Thursday. The department has so far detected 91,916 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 88,086 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 271 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.83 on Thursday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.49 per cent on the day. The health department reported six new patients from Dehradun, three each from Haridwar and Nainital and two each from Almora and Tehri on Thursday. Only one case was reported at Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts while no new patient was reported from Bageshwar, Champawat, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 349. Dehradun with 97 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar and Pithoragarh have 46 active cases each of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with only two cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 1829 people were vaccinated in 189 sessions in the state held on Thursday.
