The State Health department reported only 30 new cases of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and no death from the disease in Uttarakhand on Sunday. In fact seven districts of the state reported no case of Covid on the day.
The authorities also declared 32 patients cured on the day. The department has so far detected 91,621 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,613 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 268 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.63 per cent on Sunday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.52 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 20 new patients from Dehradun, three from Haridwar, two each from Bageshwar and Rudraprayag and only one from Champawat on Sunday.
No new patient was detected from Almora, Chamoli, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Tehri, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 535. Dehradun with 227 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Champawat has 81 active cases of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with six active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 3,660 people were vaccinated in 288 sessions in the state held on Sunday.
