The Sports minister Rekha Arya has informed that open gyms will soon be established in every block to promote physical fitness among young adults. She said this while chairing a meeting with officials on Friday. Arya stated that the department had proposed the idea of open gyms at the block level earlier. The process of land selection is currently underway and upon its completion, construction of the gyms will commence soon. Arya also mentioned that she has received requests from various youth and women’s groups to open gyms in the blocks. She further emphasised that the open gyms will provide a convenient and accessible option for the youth to maintain their health and fitness.
Arya emphasised that these open gyms will provide state-of-the-art facilities for people of all age groups, from children to the elderly. Individuals from every section of society will be able to improve their health and reap its benefits. Arya stressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently motivated the youth towards prioritising their health. The Fit India campaign is actively working towards advancing the field of health. It is now widely recognised that a healthy body is crucial for the development of a healthy mind. With the construction of open gyms for every section of society, individuals can maintain their physical well-being. Arya added that the construction of these gyms will greatly benefit the youth of the State.
