Under the Operation Smile campaign being run since May 1, Uttarkashi police have recovered seven missing people, including a woman who had been missing since 2005. The campaign is meant to reunite the missing with their families or rehabilitate them.
SP Uttarkashi Arpan Yaduvanshi said that after analysing the data of the missing persons, the team conducts a search campaign at possible places to find them. This campaign will continue in future, he added.
