Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the Jharkhand government and opposition parties are engaged in a conspiracy to change the demography of Jharkhand. He was addressing a public meeting (Parivartan Sabha) at Kundhit in Jharkhand on Thursday.

Dhami alleged that intruders are getting protection from the Jharkhand government and a conspiracy is being hatched to hand over the land of tribals to intruders who are also playing with the lives of young women.

He expressed apprehension that increasing infiltration will raise the number of intruders in the State. Dhami said that the tribal population in the area has decreased from 44 per cent to 28 per cent. He said that the Jharkhand government has always deceived the tribal population. Dhami said that about two lakh posts in different departments of government are vacant in Jharkhand. He promised the BJP will fill all these vacant posts when it comes to power in the State.

The CM said that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee created the separate State of Jharkhand which helped in enabling the tribal society on the path of development. He said that PM Modi is also working to enhance the prestige and honour of tribals. Dhami said that PM Modi declared the birthday of great Birsa Munda as the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.

Dhami said that the Union government has given gifts of new highways, elevated roads, and infrastructure development and has constructed 57 new railway stations in Jharkhand. He listed construction of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Deoghar and foundation stone laying of 20 Eklavya residential schools in the State as achievements of the Union government.

BJP district president Sumit Soren, MLA Aparna Singh Gupta and others accompanied Dhami in the meeting.
