Orange warning yet again for Dehradun & Bageshwar

Following moderate rain in Dehradun and other parts of the State on Friday, the State meteorological centre has issued an orange warning (Be Prepared) regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall and thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spell of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun and Bageshwar districts of the State today. The center has also issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Nainital and Pithoragarh districts. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in remaining districts of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in all districts of the State.
The provisional State capital Derhadun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. Few spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, out of which one or two may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, Dehradun received 32.9 millimetres of rain on Friday while there was 11.8 millimetres in Pantnagar and 23.5 millimetres in Ramnagar.
